I consulted John Manders at PhysioFitness in Maidenhead because of a problem with my knee after misstepping and twisting my leg. The two doctors and the physio therapist I had seen previously had diagnosed a sprain but recovery was unusually slow.

John listened carefully to what had happened and explained all about the ligaments in my knee. He suspected a meniscus tear and confirmed his suspicion by gently pressing a specific part of my leg. This made it clear that further investigation was needed, and I took his advice to see a specialist for a MRI scan.

To accelerate the process, John also provided a letter of recommendation which allowed the consultant to assess the problem more quickly. A scan and an operation were arranged soon after.

Following the operation, I returned to John and we devised a recovery plan together. He patiently took me through each exercise while closely monitoring my progress and ensuring I was able to complete each task.

During my recovery period I used the online tool provided to keep track of the exercises, and John continuously adjusted the plan to suit my needs and the needs of my job.

When I went back to the hospital after 6 weeks for my final follow-up, the consultant complimented me on the progress I had made and only advised me to continue with the knee inflections that had already been covered in John’s exercise plan.

Without John’s expert help and guidance, pinpointing and treating the issue would have taken much longer and I would not have been able to return to work as quickly as I did. I have been impressed by his competence and professionalism and would recommend PhysioFitness to anyone needing solid advice and effective treatment.

I went to see John to help work on a stiff and painful neck I had, as well as a pain in my elbow. I had a few sessions for each issue, and he gave me exercises to do at home. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions on the different muscles and bones that were involved in my issues. His website had my personalised exercises on them, along with how many reps and how often I had to do them. They even contained a video so i could ensure I was doing them correctly, which was really good for me. These exercises, along with the sessions I had with John, sorted out both issues. Would definitely recommend, thanks John
