Exercise and recovery programmes are structured plans designed to rebuild strength, restore movement, correct posture and prevent future injury. They form a core part of almost every treatment plan at PhysioFitness, whether you’re recovering from injury, surgery, or a long-standing condition.
Unlike generic exercise plans, our programmes are built specifically around your assessment findings, your physical capacity, and your goals. Every exercise has a purpose, and the programme evolves as you progress.
We also offer a range of physio-led online exercise classes, including Pilates and targeted golf fitness sessions, that you can follow live via Zoom or on demand from home. Whether you’re in recovery or simply want to stay active and move well, there’s something for everyone.
Programmes are built from a range of techniques and approaches, selected based on your specific needs and progressed systematically as your condition improves.
Strength & Conditioning rebuilds the muscle support around injured or weakened areas, addressing the imbalances that often cause or contribute to pain and injury in the first place.
Stretching Programmes target muscles that have become tight through repetitive activity, injury or prolonged posture. Stretches are practised in clinic so you know exactly how they should feel before continuing them at home.
Posture Correction combines targeted strengthening of weak muscles with stretching of tight ones, alongside practical advice on how to achieve and maintain better posture in daily life.
Gait Re-education addresses changes in walking patterns that commonly develop following lower limb injury. Restoring a normal, efficient movement pattern is an important part of full recovery.
Scar Tissue Management uses gentle mobilisation techniques to improve the flexibility of scar tissue following surgery or trauma, reducing pain and preventing restriction of movement.
Home Exercise Plans are provided through our online platform, complete with video demonstrations, rep counts and frequency guidance, so you can continue your recovery confidently between sessions.
As well as clinic-based programmes, PhysioFitness offers a growing library of online exercise classes you can follow from home. All classes are physio-led, so you can be confident the exercises are safe, well-structured and appropriate for your level.
Live classes run via Zoom and include a 30-minute and 1-hour Physio Led Pilates class, and a 30-minute Fab Abs Friday session. If you can’t make it live, recordings are available to follow whenever suits you.
The on-demand library includes recordings from the Pilates sessions as well as a series of golf-specific exercises covering strength and mobility.
No travel, minimal space, minimal equipment.
You get the benefit of expert physio guidance in a format that fits around your schedule.
Exercise is only effective when it’s the right exercise, done correctly, at the right stage of recovery. Too much too soon can set you back, while too little leaves the underlying problem unresolved. We get that balance right.
Your programme is monitored and adjusted at every session based on how your body is responding, and our online platform means you’re supported between appointments as well as during them.

We combine clinical expertise with personalized care to speed up your healing and boost long-term performance. With a focus on safety, technique, and progress, your recovery journey is in trusted hands.
At PhysioFitness we’re dedicated to helping you heal and move better. Your exercise programme is built around your condition, your capacity, and your goals, and adjusted at every stage as you progress.
It depends on your condition, but typically includes a combination of strength and conditioning, stretching, posture correction, and gait re-education where needed. All exercises are practised in clinic and provided online with video guidance for home use.
Generic online exercises aren't based on your specific assessment findings. Our programmes target the exact muscles and movement patterns identified as problematic, and are progressed based on how your body is actually responding.
Not at all. Programmes are designed around your current physical capacity regardless of your fitness level or age, and progressed at a pace that's right for you.
This varies depending on your condition and stage of recovery. Typically patients are seen weekly or fortnightly, with home exercises to complete between sessions. As you progress, the frequency of appointments reduces as your independence increases.
